The porcelain is a great invention of China, and a symbol of China's ancient civilization. Jing De-zhen , one of four major famous towns of China is representatives of the country of the porcelain. Foreigners call porcelain china, the porcelain (china) has become the claiming of China (China). And Jing De-zhen is undoubtedly one of the most famous towns of porcelain of China for a long time. Three major international trades in ancient times of China are: Porcelain, tea and silk. Jing De-zhen, in Tang dynasty called the Chang Nan Zhen and it is said that the word "China" is originated from the pronunciation of ChangNan. In about 1000 B.C.in Song dynasty, an emperor grants new name called Jing De-zhen. Yao li,lies in the place of an area 52 kilometers south of Jing De-zhen. This ancient town now is the only town in China which owned two national title of heritages at the same time. They are: National Nature Heritage of China and National Ancient Town Heritage of China. At the same time, Yao Li is also the National key scenic spot; National Forest Park; Scenic spot of national AAAA grade; Major historical and cultural sites under state.

Jiangxi province is situated in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Its neighboring provinces include Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Hunan, Hubei and Anhui. Jiangxi province got its name during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) and because the Gan River runs through this province from north to south, it is also called Gan for short. It covers an area of 1,669,000 square kilometers (644,440 square miles) with a population of about 40 million. Jiangxi has a warm and humid climate with cold springs and winters, hot summers and dry autumns thus accounting for its four distinct seasons.
The highlight of Jiangxi travel should be Jingdezhen, which is known as the 'Capital of Porcelain' in China. Ceramics were produced here as early as 1,800 years ago in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Today, Jingdezhen remains a national center for porcelain production. While in this ancient town, tourists can visit many pottery factories and ancient kiln sites. In addition, Jiangxi is one of the ancient tea-producing areas in China. The Black Tea produced in Ningzhou City and the Green Tea produced in Wuyuan City is well-known throughout China.

Jingdezhen started porcelain manufacturing in late Han Dynasty. In Tang Dynasty, there were Tao kiln and Huo Kiln whose wares were noted for their quiet and smooth colors and enjoyed the reputation of being “false jade wares”. From Five Dynasties to Song Dynasty, kilns were all over the town and on both sides of the south River on the outskirts. In Five Dynasties, the quality of white porcelain wares already reached present day standard. During Jingde’s reign(1004-1007) of song Dynasty, an official resident in the town was appointed to oversea wares manufactured for imperial use. Hence, the place was called Jingde Town (Jingdezhen), In Yuan Dynasty. “Fuliang porcelain office” was set up in the town to take charge of manufacturing wares for the court. It success fully produced blue and white, under glaze red, coppered glaze, amazing blue and egg-shell white wares; also new varieties of three-color glaze and gold color wares ,Especially, the blue and white wares were famous all over the world. In early Ming Dynasty, government run kilns wear set up at Mount zhushan in Jingdezhen, therefore, porcelain production entered a flourishing stage of competition between governmental and non-governmental kilns. The workmanship became excellent in Qing Dynasty with its climax in china’s porcelain manufacturing history appearing in Kangxi’s Reign, Yongzheng’s Reign and Qianlong’s Reign. Five-colored wares, tri-colored wares and cloisome enamel wares in Kangxi’s Reign. Family rose wares and wares with designs painted in black on white surface in Yongzheng’s Reign, and bronze-colored wares and wares with semi-transparent spots in Qianlong’s Reign, all were superb porcelain articles. Moreover, the porcelain made in Jingdezhen enjoys the praise of "as white as jade, as thin as paper, as sound as a bell, as bright as a mirror".
