Jingdezhen or the Town of Jingde, is a prefecture-level city, previously a town, in Jiangxi Province, China, with a city population of 311,200 (estimate 2006) has been termed the "Porcelain Capital" (瓷都) because of its production of quality pottery. It has a 1700-year-old history of pottery production.
Since the Song dynasty, and also the world-renowned porcelain metropolis, Jingdezhen is one of the 24 great cities of historical and cultural interest proclaimed by the state council of China. It has a porcelain making history of over 1700 years, which has been crystallized into it’s rich cultural tradition of ceramics, rare ceramic relics, superb ceramic craftsmanship, unique ceramic customs, graceful performance of ceramic musical instruments and beautiful rural scenery make up the peculiar tourist culture of Jingdezhen, and hence make Jingdezhen the only Chinese tourist city featuring ceramic culture. In 1997, Jingdezhen was conferred one of china’s 35 first-choice tourist spots.
There are over 30 scenic spots in Jingdezhen, including the ruins of ancient kilns in Hutian, the Porcelain Museum, the ancient Porcelain Mill, and the Research Institute of Porcelain.

Kaolinite is a clay mineral. It is a layered silicate mineral, with one tetrahedral sheet linked through oxygen atoms to one octahedral sheet of alumina octahedra. Rocks that are rich in kaolinite are known as china clay or kaolin. The name is derived from Gaoling or Kao-Ling ("High Hill") Mountain in Yaoli Town, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, China.
Gaoling (Kaolin) Village located in Yaoli once provided enough raw materials for making porcelain in the ancient times. Today, Kaolin, a world famous kind of clay, is named according to its Chinese pronunciation. In Yaoli, a large number of classical architectures and ancient shops as well as the roads and streets are well preserved. The ancient customs and the antique architectures will make you intoxicant.

Cinnamomum camphora (commonly known as Camphor tree, Camphorwood or camphor laurel) is a large evergreen tree that grows up to 20-30 meters tall. The leaves have a glossy, waxy appearance and smell of camphor when crushed. In spring it produces bright green foliage with masses of small white flowers. Camphor is a white crystalline substance, obtained from the tree Cinnamon camphora. Camphor has been used for many centuries as a culinary spice, a component of incense and as a medicine. Camphor is also a bug-repellant and a flea-killing substance.
